New Mouse Resources -- ENU-induced mutants with phenotypes of value to INIAstress and other researchers are available for study. These new mouse models have been developed by INIAstress in collaboration with the Tennessee Mouse Genome Consortium and are available to researchers (go to Neuromice):

7 mutant pedigrees from the ethanol screen:

  • 22TNJ and 7TNJ exhibit hyperlocomotor activation following ethanol 73TND exhibits increased water consumption.
  • 158TNR and 138TNR that exhibit elevated ethanol consumption 112TNR exhibits alterations in rotarod per formance
  • 221Ch19 exhibits depressed ethanol consumption.

11 mutant pedigrees from the General Behavior Screen

  • 276TNP Depressive Behavior/Behavioral Despair: Increased time immobile on tail suspension test
  • 40TNP Depressive Behavior/Behavioral Despair: Increased time immobile on tail suspension test
  • 22TNP Open field: Increased rearing in Open Field test
  • 83TND Hypo-activity: Decreased activity in Open field test
  • 17TNK Sensory Motor Gating: Poor prepulse inhibition
  • 67TND Contexual Conditioning: learning and memory impairment
